Constance Chan Sings and Bounces to "Goo Vibration"

Constance Chan is featured on Denise Ho (hocc, goo, etc.)'s blog singing and bouncing to Goo Vibration, in what Denise calls "Bao (包) Vibration." Goo Vibration is a new song for fun only (it will not be released in her upcoming album Ten Days in the Madhouse) and was performed at Denise Ho MOOV Live 2008 concert.

FYI, Denise calls Constance her "Bao Bao" (包包).

"Lady Cop & Papa Crook" Promo & Updated Release Date

A tentative release date of December 24, 2008 in Mainland China has been set for the Sammi Cheng and Eason Chan starring Lady Cop & Papa Crook (大搜查). Eason Chan started promoting the film in Hong Kong yesterday and accepted interviews from the Mainland media. Due to an already packed December schedule, Eason will have to miss the Mainland premiere of this film. When speaking of the film, Eason immediately thanked directors Alan Mak and Felix Chong.

Director Felix Chong says he already eyed for Eason in 2006, "I was at one of his concerts where he wore a crow on top of his hat, at that moment I thought of Leslie Cheung. I'm not saying they look alike, it was their temperament that felt really close." Because of that feeling Felix Chong started thinking about writing a "Siu Sung" (小生) role for Eason, "When we were out drinking I told him I was looking for him to play the "Siu Sung" role, but he thought I was drunk," Felix says.

Eason's surprised reaction came about, as he put it himself, "Because I never thought someone would choose me to play a cool role. Since young, I thought the cool roles were played by actors such as Andy Lau, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, etc. I was sure they would not be played by Eason Chan."

Not yet seen the entire film, but seeing clips during dubbing, Eason expressed that he was already in shock, saying, "This was the first time I saw myself on the screen so cruel and so cool. I really need to thank directors Alan Mak, Felix Chong and the photographer. I am not Takeshi Kaneshiro, but the angle they used to film showed a handsome side. The photographer knew that if they filmed from an angle, the outline of Eason's face would be defined and he will look very cool."

Eason is also especially grateful towards the two directors for two scenes, scenes where Eason thought he didn't act well enough in, which ended up being two of the scenes in the film being praised. "I heard from friends, one scene where I was acting opposite my wife (Michelle Ye) and the other where I was acting opposite Sammi Cheng and honestly telling her my life story, that they thought I acted especially well in those scenes. Honestly, I had the most pressure during those two scenes," Eason says.

Veteran Ng Kwan Lai Admits to Being a Fan of Eason

The 2008 CASH Annual Dinner cum Golden Sail Music Awards Presentation was held two nights ago. Eason Chan won the Best Vocalist Performance by a Male Artist award, which was handed out by veterans Wu Fung (胡楓) and Ng Kwan Lai (吳君麗).

With the two veterans handing out the award, a nervous Eason forgot to wait for the award to be handed to him and instead took the award from the table. When Ng Kwan Lai saw Eason, she acted exactly like a fan would and pulled Eason over for photos. Wu Fung exposed good friend Ng Kwan Lai by saying, "She got her wish. She said earlier if Eason won she would give him a kiss because she really likes Eason." Ng Kwan Lai then gives Eason a kiss on the cheek. Afterwards, Eason expressed that he has been watching Ng Kwan Lai on the television sitcom Off Pedder (畢打自己人).

Eason Won't Oppose Daughter Entering the Entertainment Industry

Two nights ago, at the 2008 McDonald's World Children's Day Concert Eason Chan praised a young girl for her performance of 站在高崗上, calling it professional and saying it is important to start learning at a young age.

As for his own daughter, Eason says he won't oppose her entering the entertainment industry as long as it is her choice and says, "I would share my experiences and knowledge with her, I would also follow in Eric Tsang's footsteps and would never tell her 'this or that is not good enough'. If she were to enter the industry, I would need to ask Eric to share his experience with me." When asked if he would require his daughter to graduate from college/university before she can enter the industry, Eason responds, "I don't know, it's hard to say because [right now] we don't know if she'll do well in school. I'm leaving my expectations open because I did not graduate from college/university and I was fortunate to meet a lot of great people."

Eason further says that since his daughter is frequently followed and taken pictures of by the media she has gotten use to it and says, "When she knows it is someone from the media she will wave her hand, [and jokes] she is very much like me, she will enter the industry just to have her pictures taken!"

Confirmed Release Date of "Lady Cop & Papa Crook"

The Alan Mak and Felix Chong collaborated Lady Cop & Papa Crook has been delayed several times but it has now been confirmed to be released nationwide on December 30, 2008.

"Lost, Indulgence" Released in Theaters in Asia

Lost, Indulgence (秘岸), previously titled 迷果 and 少年, was released in theaters in Hong Kong on October 2, 2008 and to be released in Mainland China November 14, 2008. Directed by Zhang Yibai and with appearances by Eric Tsang and Eason Chan, the story centers around Karen Mok and her seduction of a minor. Due to Karen's suggestive role, they were required to cut scenes and the released date has been delayed until November 14, 2008.

- Lost, Indulgence was previously set to premiere at the 32nd Hong Kong International Film Festival on March 23, 2008, but had to withdraw due to censorship issues.

Eason Films Minute Maid Commercial

Eason Chan was invited to be the spokesperson for Minute Maid brand juices. Earlier, Eason was at a local convenience store filming the commercial with 10 orange wigged females who forced him against a glass window. Not forgetting his playful side, Eason acted out exaggerated facial expressions.

Eason says that this being forced against a glass window will be hard to forget. The director was ready to wrap things up at the end of the first take, but Eason, who always has high standards, insisted on filming a couple more takes and ended up drinking over 10 bottles of juice.

Elsewhere, last Saturday Eason represented Hong Kong at the 10th Annual Chinese Korean Music Conference (第10屆中韓歌會), where he got to interact, converse and exchange music ideas with Mainland artist Han Hong, Korean artist Lee Jung Hyun and group TVXQ. Eason says, "I am happy to be Hong Kong's representative and being able to meet and interact with artists from different places." Being in a different place, Eason did not forget to try their food and ate a live octopus. When he put the live octopus in his mouth he felt it never stopped moving and had the mentality of 'fighting till the end'.
