About a week prior to his 2007 HK Coliseum concerts, Eason mentioned that the title, Moving On Stage 1, can used as an indication of his career. Being in the industry for over 10 years he is ready to move on, past stage 1, onto stage 2 of his career.

Eason went to Fo Shan, China on December 2, 2007 to promote the Mainland version of Listen to Eason Chan, which goes on sale December 8th. After the promotion, Eason answered many questions including his plans for next year in music.

Eason reveals that his next album will be a Mandarin album, which he has already begun working on. He says he cannot say much more, but when asked if he wants to work with other people in his new album, he answers he wants to work with Thai musicians because he likes their feel for music.

After the Mandarin album, Eason hopes his next album will be something different. He hopes he can work on a duet album where he can work with other singers. He names Tanya Chua, Stefanie Sun and Kay Tse as a few [Taiwan and Hong Kong] singers he hopes to work with. For Mainland singers, he hopes to work with Han Hong.

Just over a year ago, on December 1, 2006, Eason stated there were 3 projects he hopes he can create. According to Mini (CRHK 903 DJ) Eason has been talking about these projects for years.

1. "Masters" Album - new music from the composers who are considered "masters" of the industry, such as Joseph Koo, Michael Lai, To Ji Chi, etc.
2. Full Dance Album - a full album of dance music
3. "Duels" (or "Do It") Album - an album that gathers singers together for the opportunity to work together, get to know each other better and record at the same time

Status of these projects:
1. In process - Eason already started communicating with these "masters", he is getting to know them and they are getting to know him better. Michael Lai has already submitted his song - Crying in the Party. The project has now been adjusted from "masters" to well known composers, including those not labeled "masters."
2. Done - Listen to Eason Chan
3. Concept - Eason mentions this project in the above article. Eason previously stated he wanted to create the trio of Harlem Yu, Jacky Cheung and himself.
