The season finale of the third season of One Million Star 超級星光大道 (Taiwan's version of Pop Idol or American Idol) will be held on August 15, 2008 at 9 pm live. Hong Kong's Eason Chan will be the celebrity guest who will perform with all five remaining contestants. Meeting Eason for the first time during the practice session, the contestants were nervous and excited. Facing Eason, contestant Lala Shu couldn't help but tell him, "I've performed your song 愛情轉移, but not being able to perform up to par I was heavily criticized by netizens!" Contestant Shane Lai said, "[I] agree, when I performed Eason's 謝謝儂, I was also heavily criticized!"
When Eason heard this he was in shock and began consoling them, "This song [謝謝儂] is difficult to perform to begin with because of the rapid paced lyrics, don't take what others say too much to heart, focusing on your performance is what's important." Lala Shu explains, "I believe it's the image that no one can replace the 'Song King' [which is the reason we received the heavy criticism.] We were just overconfident in ourselves." Not only were the contestants busy with singing, they were also busy learning choreography and feared that they would be too busy focusing on the dance steps that they would forget the lyrics to the song. Eason advises them, "Whether you are singing or dancing focus on the rhythm of the arrangement."
