Universal Records Celebrates a Triple Platinum Crown

Having each released an album early in the year, Eason Chan, Hins Cheung and Kay Tse were awarded a celebration by Universal Records for having each of their albums going platinum. During the press conference, there were a string of activities including an interactive horse race. Alan Tam, who has had many albums going platinum in his career, was the guest presenter of the "platinum cup."

Labeled as "Album Selling King," Eason says he is extremely proud of this track record as, throughout his career, from his days at Capital Artists to EEG and now with Cineoply Records, he has always profited in album sales and never incurred a loss. Proud only because he has never incurred a loss for any of his companies.

Note: the standard for platinum is having sold at least 30,000 copies.
