News sources are reporting that Eason's upcoming Mandarin album info is being leaked online prior to it's promotion, including releasing info on composers, lyricists, song titles, album title, release date, etc.
In regards to the "info leak," Universal Records responds there there are truths and fallacies to the "leaked" info, stating that the expected release date, album title, and a portion of song titles are correct. Universal issued a statement: "Fans are too enthusiastic to support Eason, but this will cause problems for the company when promoting the album. We hope that, for the sake of Eason, fans will understand [and not leak info.]"

Although the news sources don't name any particular site as "leaking" the info, this blog is one (of many) who has posted info regarding Eason's upcoming Mandarin album. There is no intention of causing problems for promo of the upcoming album, but this blog would like to state: there is CONFUSION at Universal Records!
On Tuesday, May 27, 2008, Eason went onto 2 radio shows (CRHK & RTHK) to PROMOTE the upcoming Mandarin album. Eason himself named the 9 track titles, composers, lyricists, album title, release date, etc. Therefore, there is no leakage.
Universal Records needs to get with the program.
News sources might want to ask Katie Chan next time.

Faye Wong Makes Her "Return," Performs With Eason, Ah Niu, Faith Yang
Faye Wong performs for the first time in 3 years at the fundraising event 愛的奉獻. Though this is not an indicator that Faye is making a return to the industry, she lent her voice and money (reportedly $6 million of her own money) to help the victims of the Sichuan Earthquake. During the event, Faye performed 但願人長久 with Eason Chan, Ah Niu and Faith Yang.
Eason Sends Letter of Encouragement to Victims of the Sichuan Earthquake

Two days ago, Eason Chan attended the 愛的奉獻 fundraising event to benefit the Sichuan Earthquake Relief Efforts in Beijing. Eason was scheduled to promote his upcoming concert and Mandarin album in Malaysia, but due to the Sichuan Earthquake Eason canceled his promotions and immediately flew to Beijing for the fundraiser, where he donated his voice and money. On stage, Eason had the following words of encouragement, "Blood is thicker than water, we must be strong, there is hope for tomorrow, continue to be strong." (血濃於水, 我們一定要堅強, 希望在明天, 好好加油.)
Eason also wrote a letter of encouragement, hoping that the words will be transferred to the victims. The message in the letter is as follows:
There are always good and bad sides to everything.
Personally, I will always look to the good side!
I feel that as long as everyone works together to make something work, then it is enough - just like tonight, when I will be working with the three other performers.
I hope that everyone will continue to work hard together, then the road ahead will be very beautiful and fulfilling.
Keep on going, comrades!

Eason Chan Brings Cheer to Less Fortunate Children

KUALA LUMPUR
Hong Kong singer-actor Eason Chan Yik-Shun has got not only a big fan following but has a big heart, too.
He showed his charitable side when he was in town to promote his concert next month.
Dubbed the New Generation God of Song by the Chinese media, Chan promised a night of revelry at the Malaysian leg, the ninth stop to his Moving On Stage 2008 world tour.
“This time around I’ll be doing more dancing,'' he said at a press conference here yesterday.
“Some of my costumes will be slightly different from the earlier stops as I’ve discovered from experience that it’s really very hot in Malaysia.”
Chan had paid a goodwill visit to Rumah Charis Children’s Home on Friday to bring cheer to the underprivileged children.
The concert's organiser, Galaxy Group and main sponsor Sports Toto, joined Chan and each made a RM10,000 donation to the home.
Chan will fly to Beijing today to perform at a charity concert to raise funds for victims of the earthquake in China’s Sichuan province.
He would also be conveying Galaxy's cash donation of RM13,916.91 to the victims.
“It’s very difficult for me to read about children being trapped in the rubble for hours and then being asked to choose between losing their limbs or their lives.
“I hope many more people will do their best to help the victims of this disaster. Even the Taiwanese said their country took six years to recover from a major earthquake there,” he said.
Eason Chan Moving On Stage 9 Live in Malaysia 2008 Concert will be staged at Stadium Merdeka on June 14 at 8pm.

Eason Produces Song for Sichuan Earthquake Relief

The song, titled 承諾, is written by the late Wong Ka Kui of the Hong Kong band Beyond (originally titled 海闊天空), lyrics by Andy Lau, and produced by Eason Chan & others.
Lyrics

"Eason's Moving On Stage 10 - Macau" Promo

In July, Eason Chan will be making his 10th stop on his Moving On Stage World Tour in Macau at the The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel Convention & Exhibition Center's 澳門威尼斯人綜藝館 Cotai Strip Cotai Arena. Today, Eason along with manager Katie Chan promoted the concert in Macau and announced that another show will be added for a total of 2 shows on July 18 & 19, 2008. It is rumored that Eason made over $10 million HKD for his Moving On Stage World Tour. In regards to these rumors, Eason did not deny the figure while stating that it's a business secret and it's best if everyone refrained from talking about the matter.
Eason was organized to ride an Italian gondola boat to the side of the stage where he was met with dancers and performed with them. Aside from a gold colored mask presented to Eason by the hotel, the sponsor, Johnnie Walker, also presented him with wine. When asked which stop will be his last for his Moving On Stage tour, he laughs that he still does not know. When asked what gift he is going to purchase for himself for making so much money [for the world tour], Eason answers he will not purchase anything for himself and will use the money to take care of his family.
