Torch Relay to celebrate the 100-day countdown to East Asian Games

To welcome the East Asian Games (EAG) to be held in Hong Kong and to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China, the Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games 100-day Countdown-cum-Torch Relay will be held on August 29 (Saturday) to build up the atmosphere of the EAG.

The torch relay, with the theme “Light the Way to the EAG”, marks the vigour of the EAG athletes and young people and signifies the wide-spread of the EAG messages throughout the community, schools and among the younger generation.

There will be 65 torchbearers of whom more than 80 per cent are athletes. They will take part in the torch relay on August 29, of which the run on the road will be from 3pm to about 4.30pm, covering Tsim Sha Tsui district, Victoria Harbour and Wan Chai district.

The 100-day countdown activity, “Countdown to the Hong Kong 2009 EAG Show” will be held the same evening. There will be a torch handing over ceremony to kick off the School Torch Relay, which symbolises the continuation of the EAG spirit. About 500 schools will take part in the School Torch Relay between September and November.

Speaking at a press conference held today (July 23), the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, said that the torch relay was to promote the EAG as well as the messages of health, dynamism, friendship and competition to the community, which were important elements of sports development in Hong Kong.

Noting that it would be the first time for Hong Kong to host a large-scale international multi-sport event, he said that all the preparatory work, including that on venues, funding, volunteer recruitment, ticketing, publicity and other logistics had entered a final phase and was in good progress.

Mr Tsang wished that the EAG would be successfully held and members of the public would actively participate in it. He said that the EAG would further promote sports development in Hong Kong and enhance exchanges among territories in the East Asian region. This would in turn consolidate Hong Kong’s status as an event capital.

The Chief Executive Officer of 2009 East Asian Games (Hong Kong) Limited, Mr Johnny Woo, introduced the route of the torch relay at the press conference. The route will be divided into three parts. The section in Tsim Sha Tsui covers about 4.2 kilometres, the section crossing the Victoria Harbour is about 4.6 kilometres and that in Wan Chai covers about 1.4 kilometres. The torchbearers will relay the torch by running or on various modes of transportation including cars and vessel.

The torch relay will start at the Kowloon Park Piazza, pass through Austin Road, Nathan Road, Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, Avenue of Stars, cross the Victoria Harbour to Expo Drive East, Harbour Road, Expo Drive to reach the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island.

When the torch is relayed to the Golden Bauhinia Square, the EAG flame will be transported to the TV City by car where the last torchbearer will finish the last leg of the relay. The 100-day countdown carnival will then follow. The programme will be broadcast on TVB-Jade at 10.30pm in the same evening.

The composition of the 65 torchbearers is: 22 representatives from the National Sports Associations of the EAG competition sports, 18 representatives from the 18 District Councils, one representative from the principal contributor, 12 representatives from the diamond partners, two representatives from the EAG volunteers, three representatives from youth groups, three EAG Ambassadors and four EAG theme song singers (see annex).

School cheering teams from the 18 districts will cheer the torchbearers along the relay route to create an ambience. Community bodies will also organise activities at district level to welcome the torch and show support for the EAG.

A special feature for this torch relay is that the relay will be carried on by schools in the 18 districts from September to November so as to enable the younger generation to share the EAG spirit. As at present, about 500 schools have enrolled, involving over 400,000 students. Each of the participating schools will be given a torch as souvenir.

Mr Woo said that related publicity would be launched in parallel. Posters and banners will be placed in 18 districts while EAG messages will be promoted through Road Show on public buses across the territory in August. Decorations will be mounted along the route on the day of the torch relay.

The public can browse the dedicated homepage on torch relay, which was launched today at the websites of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department ＜http://www.lcsd.gov.hk＞ and the EAG (Hong Kong) Ltd ＜http://www.2009eastasiangames.hk＞. The homepage contains background of the torch relay, design concept of the EAG Torch, the route, list of torchbearers and the school torch relays to be held from September. The homepage also features interactive games to enhance the public’s interest in the EAG torch relay.

Three EAG Ambassadors were appointed at the press conference today. They are pop singers Mr Alan Tam, Mr Hacken Lee and Mr Eason Chan. They have been helping in the promotion of the EAG, including holding EAG fund raising concerts, singing the EAG theme song and participating in various major events. They will continue to help promote the EAG in future.

Other officiating guests included the Chairman of the 5th East Asian Games Planning Committee, Mr Timothy Fok; the Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs, Mrs Carrie Yau; the Acting Director of Leisure and Cultural Services, Mr Bobby Cheng; and the Advisor of the Hong Kong 2009 EAG Torch Relay, Mr William Ko. The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing joined hands with the officiating guests to unveil the torch.

Other attending guests included the designer of the Hong Kong 2009 EAG Torch, Mr Kan Tai-keung; representative of the company sponsoring the torch production; singer of the international version of the Hong Kong 2009 EAG theme song, Mr Richie Ren; representative of torchbearers, Ms Lee Lai-shan; and representatives from two schools joining the Schools Torch Relay.

The Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games will be held between December 5 and 13. Over 3,000 elite athletes from nine East Asian countries / regions will vie for 262 gold medals in 22 sports. Both the number of sports and medals are the largest in the history of EAG.

Hong Kong's Cantopop superstars and other celebrities were on song at a telethon last night as generous Hongkongers pledged donations to the tune of HK$50 million to help victims of Taiwan's devastating typhoon.

In a four-hour special TV broadcast live from Asia World-Expo, the target of HK$40 million was easily surpassed before the show had even finished.

Inset left, a check for NT$100 million (HK$23.5 million) is donated on behalf of TVB founder and media mogul Run Run Shaw, matching a sum given to relief efforts by Cheung Kong's Li Ka- shing.

Veteran crooners Jacky Cheung Hok- ya, Andy Lau Tak-wah and Alan Tam Wing-lun kicked off the show by leading dozens of stars from Hong Kong, the mainland and Taiwan in a chorus of the Chinese-language version of the Simon and Garfunkel classic Bridge over Troubled Water.

Leon Lai Ming and Aaron Kwok Fu-shing were present while other celebrities donated collectables for auction or acted as telephone operators to handle donations from 50 hotlines. Celebrities wore customized white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Typhoon Morakot, which struck the island on August 8, triggered flooding and massive landslides, leaving at least 126 people dead. The HKPAG-Artistes 88 Fund-Raising Campaign was initiated by the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild.

Taiwanese actress and director Sylvia Chang Ai-chia and local artist Eric Tsang Chi-wai were hosts.

More than 10,000 members of the public, donating at least HK$20 as an entrance fee, watched the variety show live.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club said it will donate HK$10 million to relief efforts while the Legislative Council's Finance Committee approved HK$50 million aid to Taiwan.

During the event, held Monday, August 17, 2009, Eason Chan and Jaycee Chan performed a modified version of Jaycee's song 一路好走.

Hong Kong launches two month summer campaign

In a bid to lure more visitors to the city in summer, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has launched a Summer Spectacular campaign in a two month long initiative to drive arrivals over July and August.

Focusing this year on short-haul and Mainland China, the new Summer Spectacular campaign will look at Hong Kong as “Hip” and “Hot” with a focus on new product.

With this approach, Hong Kong is also looking to lure in younger travellers, and will look to doing this with the help of Eason Chan, local Hong Kong celebrity to be the city’s Hong Kong Summer Spectacular Ambassador.

“Notwithstanding the continued impact of the global financial tsunami and human swine flu pandemic, we believe that we must grab the opportunities of the peak summer travel season, especially in the Mainland and short-haul markets,” said James Tien, HKTB Chairman.

“To widely promote travel to Hong Kong during the season, we have allocated more than 80% of our HK$48 million summer promotion budget to promotions in these source markets.”

For the Chinese Mainland market, the tourism body has doubled its budget to HKD20 million and have already begun promoting the summer campaign through travel trade partners in 24 different cities.

A range of offers will also be made available during the period, with coupon books covering dining, entertainment, shopping and other activities valid through to the 31st of August, 2009.

“The HKTB is deeply grateful for the support of our trade partners, who are extending a wide range of attractive offers and privileges to visitors during the Hong Kong Summer Spectacular period,” adds Mr Tien.

Olympic Stars Promote "Eason's Moving On Stage 24 - Beijing Part II"

Eason Chan held a press conference for his upcoming Eason's Moving On Stage 24, which will be held July 18, 2009 at the Beijing Workers' Stadium (北京工人體育場), the second part of his Moving On Stage World Tour in Beijing. On hand to help promote the upcoming concert and wishing Eason a successful concert were Olympians "Prince of Badminton" (羽毛球王子) Lin Dan (林丹) and "Prince of the Gymnasium" (體操王子) Li Xiaopeng (李小鵬).

It was announced that a portion of tickets will go towards an auction, where the proceeds will benefit The Chinese Athletes Educational Foundation (中國運動員教育基金). Aside from promoting Eason's concert, the two Olympians also presented Eason with autographed copies of the single 風雨操場 (Wind, Rain Playground, literally translated) in return for his donation to the Athletes Educational Foundation. Wanting to join the athletes' Sichuan donation, Eason announced two VIP tickets will be up for auction (the best seats in the house - row 2, seats 10 & 11) and proceeds from those two tickets will go towards the Olympians' 風雨操場 Sichuan Fund. The two VIP ticket holders are also invited to the post-concert celebration.

Remember back in 2007 when Eason held 2 shows of his Moving On Stage 1 concerts to benefit the 2009 East Asian Games to be held in Hong Kong? Eason Performs Theme Song for "Shanghai Volunteer Expo 2010"

Volunteers get a sign, a slogan and a song

SHANGHAI unveiled its World Expo volunteer logo today - it includes the Chinese character for heart, the letter "V" and a dove of peace carrying an olive branch.

The character "心" is to reflect the warm-hearted spirit of the volunteers who will serve the participants and visitors and the letter V stands for "volunteer." The dove and the olive branch convey a message of peace, friendship, sustainable development and hope, an extension of the "Better City, Better Life" theme.

The logo was unveiled on the 400-day countdown to the opening of Expo 2010 by Shanghai Party Secretary Yu Zhengsheng at the Wusa Monument Square in Huangpu District, near Nanjing Road E.

The logo is the third Expo symbol using a Chinese character after the Expo emblem itself which is shaped like "世" (world) and the mascot Haibao, a cartoon figure in the shape of the Chinese character "人."

It was designed by a Shangdong Province man, Li Xiaoli, said Hu Liqian of the volunteers department with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.

As well Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng announced that "At Your Service At Expo" has been chosen as the volunteer slogan for Shanghai World Expo. It has three sub-logos -- "My Will, My Help, My Pleasure," "2010, We're Together As One" and "Our City, Your Joy."

The slogan was submitted by Huang Yuanyuan, a student of Jinan University in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province.

The winning logo and slogan were selected from 15,717 entries after a 147-day search wrapped up in April last year. About 10 percent of the suggestions came from overseas. An online vote for the 10 finalists was held at the end of last year.

At the announcement the Hong Kong singer Eason Chan Yik-Shun sang "By Your Side," the volunteer song for Expo 2010.

The song, 在你身邊, is written by Beijing's Zhang Ya Dong (張亞東), penned by Hong Kong's Keith Chan Siu Kei (陳少琪) and performed by Hong Kong's Eason Chan.

Olympian Li Ning Invites Eason to Charity Dinner

Recently busy with his upcoming Moving On Stage 14 - Beijing concert, two days ago, Eason Chan recieved an invitation from Olympian and businessman Li Ning (李寧) for his upcoming, September 21st, charity dinner held in Hong Kong. Aside from Eason, Jackie Chan, Stephen Chow and 51 Chinese Olympic Gold Medalists were also invited. Eason will be performing at the dinner where the goal is to raise $30 million and the proceeds will go towards aiding the 5.12 Sichuan Earthquake and developing physical education in China.

"Take It EC" Eason Chan Live in Concert

Metro Music World hosts Eason Chan Take It EC Live in Concert. The one show will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Director of Metroinfo, Chu Ming Yui, earlier announced that an additional 150 seats would be added for $200 per seat and all proceeds will go towards helping Sichuan rebuild after last month's earthquake.

Eason Chan and Eric Tsang Shed Tears at Fundraiser

Around 500 artists from Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Taiwan gathered at the West Kowloon Reclamation Site for the Artistes 512 Fundraising Campaign to raise money for the Sichuan Earthquake relief efforts. The fundraiser began at 2:28 pm, the exact time the earthquake hit Sichuan on May 12, 2008. Eason Chan and Eric Tsang were among the 500 artists who participated in the fundraiser, with Eric being a host and Eason being a performer.

Seeing the audience waving their yellow ribbons in support of the event, Eric could not help but shed tears. Aside from performances, artists such as Eason, Anita Yuen, Jamie Chik, and Joyce Cheng told emotional stories of events that took place before and after the earthquake. Eason, who told a story of a father's sacrifice of his own child to save others, stepped off the stage after finishing the story and shed tears himself, which led to Eric having to comfort him. Eason later said that this was a memorable experience because he felt the atmosphere of the event was filled with a mix of strength, touched, and emotional feelings.

During the event, Eason performed 他們都是我們的孩子 with Sandy Lam and Anthony Lun, 一路好走 with Jaycee Fong, 愛的暖流 with Sam Hui, Leo Ku, Miriam Yeung and Joey Yung, told a story of a father's sacrifice, and opened and closed the show performing 承諾 with all artists.

Faye Wong Makes Her "Return," Performs With Eason, Ah Niu, Faith Yang

Faye Wong performs for the first time in 3 years at the fundraising event 愛的奉獻. Though this is not an indicator that Faye is making a return to the industry, she lent her voice and money (reportedly $6 million of her own money) to help the victims of the Sichuan Earthquake. During the event, Faye performed 但願人長久 with Eason Chan, Ah Niu and Faith Yang.

Eason Sends Letter of Encouragement to Victims of the Sichuan Earthquake

Two days ago, Eason Chan attended the 愛的奉獻 fundraising event to benefit the Sichuan Earthquake Relief Efforts in Beijing. Eason was scheduled to promote his upcoming concert and Mandarin album in Malaysia, but due to the Sichuan Earthquake Eason canceled his promotions and immediately flew to Beijing for the fundraiser, where he donated his voice and money. On stage, Eason had the following words of encouragement, "Blood is thicker than water, we must be strong, there is hope for tomorrow, continue to be strong." (血濃於水, 我們一定要堅強, 希望在明天, 好好加油.)

Eason also wrote a letter of encouragement, hoping that the words will be transferred to the victims. The message in the letter is as follows:

There are always good and bad sides to everything.
Personally, I will always look to the good side!
I feel that as long as everyone works together to make something work, then it is enough - just like tonight, when I will be working with the three other performers.
I hope that everyone will continue to work hard together, then the road ahead will be very beautiful and fulfilling.

Eason Chan Brings Cheer to Less Fortunate Children

KUALA LUMPUR

Hong Kong singer-actor Eason Chan Yik-Shun has got not only a big fan following but has a big heart, too.

He showed his charitable side when he was in town to promote his concert next month.

Dubbed the New Generation God of Song by the Chinese media, Chan promised a night of revelry at the Malaysian leg, the ninth stop to his Moving On Stage 2008 world tour.

“This time around I’ll be doing more dancing,'' he said at a press conference here yesterday.

“Some of my costumes will be slightly different from the earlier stops as I’ve discovered from experience that it’s really very hot in Malaysia.”

Chan had paid a goodwill visit to Rumah Charis Children’s Home on Friday to bring cheer to the underprivileged children.

The concert's organiser, Galaxy Group and main sponsor Sports Toto, joined Chan and each made a RM10,000 donation to the home.

Chan will fly to Beijing today to perform at a charity concert to raise funds for victims of the earthquake in China’s Sichuan province.

He would also be conveying Galaxy's cash donation of RM13,916.91 to the victims.

“It’s very difficult for me to read about children being trapped in the rubble for hours and then being asked to choose between losing their limbs or their lives.

“I hope many more people will do their best to help the victims of this disaster. Even the Taiwanese said their country took six years to recover from a major earthquake there,” he said.

Eason at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Event

Yesterday, Eason Chan took part in the Ronald McDonald House Charities event, where he played with the children of the Ronald McDonald House and sold some stickers for the charity. When asked if he will have his daughter (Constance Chan) observe and learn about charity work, he answers, "She is only 3 and is too young. I'll wait until she gets a little older." When asked if he will donate all of his daughter's Chinese New Year money to charity, Eason answers, "I don't know, ask her mom (Hilary Tsui) the next time you see her." When asked about the recent influenza virus going around in Hong Kong and whether he was worried about his daughter, he answers, "We shouldn't worry too much about our children catching things because they have their own immune systems to fight germs. What are we (as parents) supposed to do? Lock them inside and never leave the house?"

News Wrap for Week 12.16.2007 - 12.22.2007

Yesterday, Miriam Yeung, Hins Cheung, Vincy Chan, Kelvin Kwan, Kay Tse and others attended the 2007 Metro Radio Music Awards' Voting Promotion. During the event the top 3 Metro Radio World's Hit Singer, as of December 15th, was revealed and they are, in no order, Andy Lau, Eason Chan and Miriam. Miriam modesty says she thinks Eason has the best chance of winning, and jokes because he is the "universal king".

Miriam was asked about the TVB Jade Solid Gold Round 3 Voting incident a couple of days ago where Eason left the studio in the middle of filming. She supports Eason and feels he didn't do anything wrong, saying, "He only wanted to perform his best for everyone to watch. There is nothing wrong with having a high standard for performance. It was his straight forward personality." Asked whether she knew all about the incident, she responds, "Denise and I were talking at the time and thought we could leave after our performance."

Karen Mok announced her relationship with Stephen Fung had ended earlier in the year. The news shocked many of their friends and industry people. At the premiere of the new film Trivial Matters, Eason Chan, one of their friends responds, "I haven't spoken to Stephen in a while, but I will call him and ask him about it. This is other people's business so I won't say anything further, but this [way of announcement] is refreshing."

The premiere of the new film Trivial Matters 破事兒 was held on Sunday, December 16, 2007. Because the film has 7 independent stories there are an abundance of stars, including Gillian Chung, Shawn Yue, Juno Mak, Eason Chan, Stephanie Cheng, Conroy Chan, Jan Lamb, Krystal Tin, Stephy Tang, Chapman To who is also a producer of this film, etc.

In this film, Eason acts opposite newcomer Isabel Chan and the two have numerous intimate scenes, but there was no awkwardness and the two had fun.

Yesterday, a press conference was held for the upcoming TVB special, literally translated: Learn. Care. Story of a Million People 了解. 關懷. 一百萬人的故事, which will be hosted by Sandra Ng. TVB executive Stephen Chan, host Sandra Ng and participant Eason Chan were in attendance for the press conference. Learn. Care. Story of a Million People is a concept Sandra created for celebrities to use their influence to visit, film, and have those fortunate enough to not be living in poverty to realize that although Hong Kong is a modern city, there are still over a million people living in poverty.

For this TVB special, Sandra invited some of her industry friends to participate, including Carina Lau, Eric Tsang, Kelly Chen and Eason Chan, who will all personally visit and film real life stories in hopes that more fortunate Hong Kong citizens will care for those in poverty. The filming will begin at the end of December. Sandra says that after giving birth to her daughter she has learnt to think for the long-run. She questioned herself asking, what if she passed away? What if she can no longer work and provide for her daughter? What if she did not save up enough money for her daughter? All these questions made her range of thinking wider and made her realize that although Hong Kong is a prosperous city, there are still over a million people living in poverty. Realizing this, she came up with an idea to try to influence the more fortunate to care for those not as fortunate. She says that if one million can lower to five hundred thousand, it would already be very good. To film this special Sandra had to reject filming a series, in regard to this Sandra says that there will always be opportunities to film series, but filming a meaningful special is hard to come by.

Sandra revealed that Eason gets emotional easily, saying that he cried just listening to stories of those in poverty, and when asked to participate he immediately said yes. When asked if he is more emotional because of the birth of his daughter, Eason responds that it is not the case. He says that he isn't someone that easily cries, but as he has gotten older he has become more sensitive. When he hears of emotional stories, he is now easily brought to tears. In regards to helping film this special, Eason hopes that he can change people's view of those in need.

Yesterday night, December 16, 2007, as Ambassador of Hong Kong's Cancer Fund Sammi Cheng made an appearance at an event for the Fund. During the event Sammi, who is currently filming 查之女 with Eason Chan, was asked regarding Eason's recent temper flare, his incident at the TVB Jade Solid Gold Round 3 Voting event, and if he showed any signs of a temper during filming. Sammi responds, "There hasn't been any temper problems while filming. He actually talked to me about the JSG incident and I heard he apologized, so I think everything is okay. He's controlled his temper well during filming and sometimes he'll turn to comfort me."

Yesterday, Mainland vocal powerhouse Han Hong announced she will be holding her first personal concert in 5 years, on January 26, 2008. When asked about the guests she will be inviting for the upcoming concert, she says she has invited some of her industry friends but a couple of them are busy with their own work that day, including Andy Hui. She has asked Eason Chan to be her guest, but he has work at 5 pm that day and says he will see if he can catch a flight afterwards and make it to her concert in time.

On Sunday night, December 16, 2007, Olympic Gymnast Liu Xuan 劉璇 was a presenter at the 2007 TVB8 Mandarin Music On Demand (MOD) Awards Presentation where she revealed she currently likes Eason Chan's songs. Whenever she goes to karaoke she will tell her friends to sing Eason's songs, especially 富士山下. Liu Xuan, who is an Ambassador for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, did not reveal how much TVB paid her for her participation. As for whether she will become a gymnastics coach, Liu Xuan says not for the time being because there are a lot of responsibilities involved with being a coach.

Two days ago, on December 19th, Hacken Lee shot a music special for TVB in HD for the first time. For his music special, Hacken invited Eason Chan, Sammi Cheng and TVB executive Stephen Chan. During the special, Hacken and Eason performed each other's songs individually and together. The two were having a lot of fun and jumping around causing a lot of sweat on their foreheads. And because this was special was filmed in HD, the director asked the two to re-shoot the segment and calm down a bit, in essence, hinting that their sweat would be apparent when aired on television.

During the special, Eason asked Hacken why his hair has been dyed blond for so many years. Hacken replies that he won his first [TVB] Male Singer Award after dyeing his hair and although he isn't a superstitious person he kept it blond as a form of luck. Hacken then points out that Eason won his first [TVB] Male Singer Award after he permed his hair. In response to this, Eason wonders how the award results will turn out if the two of them permed and dye their hair blond. Eason then jokes that he cannot dye his hair blond because he doesn't have much hair and he will look like a fat chicken.

According to fans who attended the filming of the special, when Hacken went backstage to fix his makeup Eason opted to talk to his fans. He went over to his fans and spoke with them for a while and joked that they should secretly sit within Hacken's fan area and try to find out what's going on. He continued to joke that while they are in the area they should raise the signs that say "Eason".

In celebration of 8th Anniversary of Macau's Special Administrative Region, a number of singers performed at a concert, including Josie Ho, Eason Chan, Sammi Cheng, Andy Hui, Miriam Yeung, Denise Ho, George Lam, Hacken Lee, Janice, Hins Cheung and others.

Sammi, who has recently been filming with Eason, was asked about Eason as an actor, she responds "He is a good actor, he is willing to put effort into his acting. I recently told him that I dreamt of him and Hilary again. In the past, before his daughter was born, I dreamt that he and Hilary would have a daughter. Recently, I dreamt that he and Hilary would have a boy. I don't even know why I keep dreaming of him and his family." In regards to these dreams, Eason responds, "I don't know why she dreams of us, maybe we were somehow connected in our previous life. Maybe I was her dog. Maybe Hilary was related to her somehow." When asked if Sammi had an attitude while filming, Eason says, "Even before she opens her mouth, I'm already talking away. She doesn't even have the chance to say anything. We are friends and we talk as friends."

During that night, Hilary Tsui revealed that she was not any good at gambling, but Eason is extremely good at Majong. She also says that they've already brought their daughter to play and celebrate Christmas because they are afraid that there would be too many people during Christmas.

In an undisclosed format of voting, we (The Sun 太陽報) polled 100 individuals, including Radio DJs, music people, songwriters, mainstream singers, non-mainstream singers, and others. Without considering popularity, without considering sales, and with the closest contact to the Hong Kong music industry, they were asked to choose this year's Male and Female Singer, Male and Female Newcomer, and Album of the Year.
