As Eason mentioned earlier (here and here), he plans on releasing 2 Mandarin EPs this year.
During a recent promo of his album H3M in Mainland, he revealed further info on the upcoming Mandarin album, as follows.
- producer is Will Lin
- songwriters are Zhang Ya Dong, Sodagreen's Qing-Feng (青峰), Tanya Chua, Mavis Fan, etc.
- will perform one song in the Taiwanese dialect
- mentioned as one album (instead of 2 EPs)
- expected to be released in September 2009
(Fifth Floor's Happiness, or literally translated: Happiness Going to the Fifth Floor)
Note: There are several discrepancies involved. Whether because of official changes or because Eason merely mentioned the upcoming Mandarin album (i.e. not promoting it), the above mentioned is the latest info. Thanks to Eason's fans from all around providing the updated information.

On June 11, 2009, Eason Chan held his Same Wrong Sin Concert with Swing and Mr. Good friends Wyman Wong, William So and Denise Ho were in attendance, as were wife Hilary Tsui and daughter Constance Chan. As reporters approached Constance to take pictures, she cleverly used what was in her hand to cover her face. When Eason saw the swarm of reporters surrounding his daughter, he waved his hands towards them indicating for them to leave her alone. For the show, Eason wore the facial hair featured on H3M's album cover.
During the show, Eason revealed that he asked to be a guest performer at Wong Ka Keung & Paul Wong's upcoming concert, saying, "I called Paul expressing my interest in being a guest. I had real "thick skin" to recommend myself, but opportunities are out there for you to grab!" Eason performed Faye Wong's 開到荼靡 & Wong Ka Keung's 麻醉 during the show and performed an encore.
At the post-concert celebration, having performed through the night and ended up with a raspy voice, Eason joked, "I shouldn't have benefited them in Taiwan by performing for 4 hours." He then explained he visited a doctor two days ago and was told that his vocal chord should be white in color, however his present vocal cord was red and swollen among other things. Due to the severity, he was told to immediately quit smoking and to take steroids. Eason says, "Because I can't hold back when I sing live there was no other choice, but I don't take it (steroids) often so don't worry." When asked if his daughter recognized him with his facial hair on, he answered, "She recognizes me, but refuses to give me a kiss."
After the show, Eason, Hilary, Constance and William So went to Wan Chai for a midnight meal. At 1 in the morning, fans were still around holding up paper to block cameras from taking pictures of their idol.

Eason Chan Performs 七百年後 in Acappella
Eason Chan attended the weekly TVB Jade Solid Gold music program where his song 七百年後 was number 1 on the charts. He then performed the song in acappella.
Note: Eason went onto a radio program just a couple of weeks ago where he stated he was unhappy with certain shows cutting his songs short or cutting the intros. He then said that if they were going to shorten his song (his performance), he would be more satisfied if they gave him a time frame where he could perform his song in acappella on his terms. Therefore, there is speculation that this performance was made possible at his request. Speculation only because there is so much positive response to the performance.

Upcoming: 2009 Mandarin EPs & New Cantonese EP
As posted earlier, Eason Chan will release 2 Mandarin EPs, 5 songs each, this year. And as concepted, will incorporate "two different styles from two different shores" with Taiwan's Will Lin 林暐哲 and Beijing's Zhang Ya Dong 張亞東 as producers. Additional and new information on the albums as follows.
North (Zhang Ya Dong as producer):
- experimental album (e.g. Acid Jazz, song types by Lenny Kravitz, UFO, Corduroy, Galliano, Urban Species, etc.)
- Eason wants to write a song
South (Will Lin as producer):
- songs by Tanya Chua, Mavis Fan, Angus Chan & Sodagreen
- Tanya's song is titled 多少 (How Much), lyrics are also by Tanya - according to Eason, this song is awesome! When Tanya finished writing the song, she gave it to Eason and said "This song is for you." After hearing the demo, Eason asked her, "Are you sure you don't want to keep it for yourself?" because the song is THAT good!
- right now, writers are giving Eason songs and Eason is then discussing them with Will Lin, but Will is giving Eason freedom and saying, "as long as you like [the song]"
Eason hopes that the 2 EPs will be released together anywhere between August & September.
Also noted is that Eason is simultaneously working on a new Cantonese EP while working on these Mandarin EPs. It is currently used as a "back-up" in case the Mandarin EPs aren't finished in time. However, Eason prefers to plug all the songs from H3M rather than releasing a new EP, if it comes down to that. However, Eason doesn't mind recording songs in advance.

Universal Records Celebrates a Triple Platinum Crown

Having each released an album early in the year, Eason Chan, Hins Cheung and Kay Tse were awarded a celebration by Universal Records for having each of their albums going platinum. During the press conference, there were a string of activities including an interactive horse race. Alan Tam, who has had many albums going platinum in his career, was the guest presenter of the "platinum cup."
Labeled as "Album Selling King," Eason says he is extremely proud of this track record as, throughout his career, from his days at Capital Artists to EEG and now with Cineoply Records, he has always profited in album sales and never incurred a loss. Proud only because he has never incurred a loss for any of his companies.
Note: the standard for platinum is having sold at least 30,000 copies.

What Happened to Band Leader Pal Sinn's Song?
If you haven't already noticed, Moving On Stage 1 band leader Pal Sinn will not have a song in the upcoming album H3M.
Rumors are circulating that:
Pal wrote a song that has a special meaning behind it and he insisted on having Mandarin lyrics. However, a full Cantonese album with one Mandarin track seemed out of place (as Go East decided, Eason was fine with a Mandarin song) so the song was not recorded.
C.Y. Kong states:
"Mr. Pal Sinn, decided not to take part, even tho production had begun on his song"

As C.Y. Kong put it himself:
"It's [HHHM's] probably the last album we're producing for Eason for the time being. I feel that he needs to move on and work with other producers - so he can have more variety and explore more grounds! But before that, my aim for this album was really to bring him back down a bit, a bit more closer back to the mass, since I feel for the last album and compilation album, he had been slightly off track doing songs that were diverting him away from the public. So in a way, this album, sorry that you won't find wild, spooky, outrageous songs, but more ballads, more easy listening songs, with the touches, the heart, the feelings etc - that is, not only just Eason's feelings, but also apply to anyone, everyone!"FYI: All but one song on the upcoming album was produced by the trio of C.Y. Kong, Davy Chan and Eason Chan.
Producers:
01. Allegro Opus 3.3 a.m. - Gary Tong, Davy, C. Y., Eason

Eason at MOOV Live 2009

Eason Chan held the first MOOV Live concert of 2009 on March 9. During the concert, Eason performed 10 brand new tracks from his upcoming album H3M.
Here's a recap of the previously released info about the album, and the following are details/commentary of the upcoming album from the fans who watched the concert live.
Details:
(Traveler) due to the original title being too similar to Myolie Wu's (Solo Travel)
- C.Y. Kong's song is titled
- Eason's song is titled 沙龍, lyrics by Wyman Wong
- Eason & Co. will plug (Pam Chung). Eason said everyone in the company voted in favor of plugging
- Eason, again, wants to plug ALL 10 songs
- Word of mouth is that 不來也不去 is yet another impressive song by C.Y. and the difficulty level gets higher as the song progresses. Eason said C.Y. continues to challenge him as this song is extremely difficult to perform.
- Last line to 於心有愧 (Lin Xi) is very haunting: 直到某年某日我能安息於葬禮 仍想你一家可到齊
- 今天只做一件事 (Joey Tang & 舒文) is very relaxing

"H3M" (H Cube M) to be Retitled in Mainland China

Eason Chan was recently on a Taiwanese game show where he met up with Harlem Yu while do a round of promotions. It is revealed that without a Chinese title, Eason's upcoming Cantonese album (Eason Chan & the H Cube M Band, a.k.a. H3M) will be unable to be released in Mainland China. Therefore, his record company has decided to give the Mainland China version the Chinese title Ho Ho Ho Mai (好好好賣), while the Hong Kong version will continue to have the original title.

New Song: "Allegro Opus 3.3am"
Title: Allegro Opus 3.3am
Composer: Gary Tong
Lyricist: 小克
Arrangers: Gary Tong & Ivan Leung
Producers: Gary Tong, Davy Chan, C.Y., Eason
(You're my baby, oh baby)
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah
(如抱便抱吧 如放棄便放吧 愛吧 說吧) No No No No
How
Sad Sad My Sad Song
