"What a Wonderful World"

As seen in the possible rundown for Moving On Stage 1 in a previous post (for some reason you can't click and enlarge the photo in that post so it is hard to see the song names, click here to see a larger version,) one of the songs Eason plans to perform is What a Wonderful World.

What a Wonderful World is one of Mae's favorite songs, especially when it's taught in grade school when things were less serious and more fun. Therefore, I am looking forward to Eason's rendition of the song, not that I'm expecting it to be better than Louis Armstrong's version.

The original song, What a Wonderful World, was written by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss and performed by the legendary Louis Armstrong.

What a Wonderful World is an amazing song with beautiful lyrics and no one comes close to performing the original version as great as Armstrong did. Especially with his unique voice and the song being such a classic.

But there were instances where renditions of the song came out quite good. Anwar Robinson, who was my favorite during auditions, performed the song on the 4th season of American Idol and it came out wayyyyyy better than I expected. Yes, he was my favorite but the song is hard to pull of decently.

Also, Terry Fator performed it on the 2nd season of America's Got Talent. What made his rendition good was the fact that he was doing it as a ventriloquist and his mouth did not, I repeat, did not move.
